Runs an HIV/AIDS care and support centre and also provides a home for HIV+ orphans and the elderly. Focuses on awareness, care and counselling , medical help and support.
Provides help, nutrition, support and care for the HIV+/AIDS community in Bangalore as well as running many education, awareness and prevention projects for schools and the public sector. They operate the only HIV helpline in Bangalore with full telephone service and free clinic.
Home and vocational centre for mentally challenged men and women. providing life skills, self-care, vocational and income generated programs including candle making, woodwork and gardening.
Runs 5 permanent crèches around Bangalore catering to over 250 children. The children are taught English, Kannada and basic Maths. Their nutritional and medical needs are also taken care of. They also run TARA, a residential shelter for destitute and abused women.
Runs a hospice for advanced stage cancer patients and also provides training for girls from low-income families to be future care workers. Promotes increased awareness among professional healthcare workers of palliative care.
Educates 400 underprivileged children from KG to 10th Standard at their own free Divine Mercy School. Provides after school tuition for children in local slums, quarries and villages. Has a hostel for 35 boys.
Runs 4 charitable homes caring for around 75 children and 57 women, all HIV+. Also runs Santhwana Hospice for the terminally ill.
Runs a crèche for 130 children of construction and domestic workers from the slums around Indranagar. They support the Resurrection School for up to 250 older children and provide help with homework and a space to study after school, runs development programs e.g. urban poor empowerment of women organisation into self help groups (approx covering 450 women).
Freedom Foundation is a pioneer in substance abuse and HIV+/AIDS intervention in India. In Bangalore, the charity has a residential unit for 20 HIV infected/orphaned children. Freedom also provides educational, health care and counselling support to approx. 300 adults and children.
Operates 2 crèches & 2 home care centres for children who are at risk, abused or orphaned or who have been infected/affected by HIV. A free residential program called T.R.E.P. (Total Residential Education Program ) which provides not only academic education but stresses Values, Life- Skills and Devotion for around 50 disadvantaged girls & boys from 6th through 10th Standard (11-16 years old)
Dedicated to improving the quality of life of persons with intellectual disabilities, autism, cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities from infancy to adulthood Shristi strives to enable the overall development and habilitation of persons with disabilities. This is achieved using a holistic approach aimed at overall development- mental, physical and emotional- and hence the services offered include habilitation training, transportation, nutrition, medical screening, consultation and treatment and practical exposure.
