We were all meeting at the RmKV shop, in Orion Mall, to discover the world of silk in sarees.

We received a very warm welcome, roses for everyone, morning chanting executed by all the employees… you could feel the cohesion and the devotion of everybody, and their happiness to welcome us.

Followed a weaving demo by a specialist, we started to discover RmKV’s exquisite and magic sarees collection.

Design, innovation, handcrafting, love of art are the master’s words.
RmKV’s exquisite craftsmanship has been twice bestowed the National Award for Master Weavers by the President of India.
They pioneered the use of natural dyeing in pure silk sarees of south India.

I didn’t know that art could meet sarees and science at the same time.
We were lucky to wear each of us a beautiful saree, helped by so many employees. They were so patient and professional.
I wore a saree where a palette of fifty thousand colors was displayed on it, can you imagine it? You feel exceptional, full of panache, beautiful, and grateful to live these moments.

The emotion was at its greatest for everybody.

When you enter in this shop, you can’t expect to discover so many treasures for women.
RmKV has been weaving for over four generations now.
They have a saree for every woman!

Thank you to M. Murali and his team for their warm welcome and time, and above all to Ms Geeta Bhat, founder of the Center of Revival of Indigenous Art, for connecting us.
